The 2013 Joint Engineering Training Conference & Expo (JETC) features a wide array of educational workshops and courses, allowing attendees to earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Continuing Education Courses and Workshops include:
- SAME-Competing Successfully for DOD Architect-Engineer Contracts
The course gives an overview of the DOD A/E Evaluation and Selection Processes with a special focus on key aspects of planning, preparing and submitting winning proposals.
- SAME-Mentor Protégé and Joint Venture Agreements
A facilitated workshop that will teach networking approaches for identifying and selecting teaming partners and teaming strategies for winning Federal Small Business Set Aside contracts.
- SAME-Increasing the Sustainability of Existing DOD Buildings
Fifteen percent of the buildings owned by the federal government and military services are required to meet the guidelines for High Performance Sustainable Buildings. This course gives facility managers, designers and facility engineers the tools needed to asses and implement sustainability and energy improvements to their facilities.
- SMPS-The Basics of Business Development in the A/E/C Marketplace
During this interactive, day-long workshop, you will gain the special skills, techniques, and tools necessary to develop and maintain a successful business development program for your professional services firm.
- IFMA-CFM® Exam Preparation Workshop
This workshop is designed to assist facility professionals seeking certification with preparation for the competency-based examination. Instructors for the course are Certified Facility Managers® who have many years of facility management experience and can inspire participants’ confidence in their ability to successfully complete the exam, earning the distinction and privilege of being a CFM.
